Julie believes that there is no better way to spend the day than being outdoors and in the company of dogs. She knows the dog parks and hiking trails in Toronto like her own backyard. Her packs go on daily adventures that always involve running, wrestling, and retrieving to their heart’s content.

Julie has a passion for dog training. Prior to opening Rover Achiever, she completed an intensive Dog Training program in Victoria, BC. She uses positive reinforcement techniques to ensure the fun and safety of the pack.

In the evening, when all the dogs are asleep, Julie goes out with Annex Cat Rescue to improve the plight of stray cats.

Emily grew up in Little Italy, collecting a whole managerie of pets throughout childhood and adolescence. She moved to Peterborough in 2004 to obtain a degree at Trent University. While in Peterborough, she adopted her current dog from the Peterborough Humane Society, a Treeing Walker Coonhound cross named Arlo.  Upon graduation, Emily returned to Toronto to work in an emergency veterinary hospital where she became fascinated with the study of animal training and behaviour. Emily became hooked on positive reinforcement based training after seeking help to rehabilitate her partner's reactive/aggressive Labrador Retriever, Odin.  Emily is currently assisting classes at a local training school. She now lives in West End Toronto with her partner, two dogs, two cockatiels, three rats, one hamster, and a fish (most of which are clicker trained!).
